Dr. Keith M. Broshears, 59, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in Linton. He was born in Terre Haute on Dec. 14, 1948, the son of Dr. Kenneth and Geraldine (Macer) Broshears. He served as a Diplomat on the American Board of Forensic Dentistry and the American Board of Forensic Examiners, was a Life Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners, was a member and webmaster of the Indiana Society of Forensic Odontology, listed in the Who's Who in the World & Who's Who in America, member of the American Dental Association and the Indiana Dental Association, was a Captain of the U.S. ...

The Greene County Commissioners intend to apply to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs for a Community Development Block Grant for a fire station and other possible future projects. A door-to-door income survey will be conducted throughout Wright Township and Smith Township west of County Road 800 W. by the county and the Southern Indiana Development Commission to gather information needed to apply for the grant funds for the proposed projects...

Two drivers involved in an accident Tuesday evening on State Road 54 east of Bloomfield refused medical treatment, but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Tiffany D. McFarland, 23, Bedford, was westbound on the highway in a 2001 Toyota SUV when another vehicle slowed and turned northbound onto County Road 375 East in Richland Township. As she brought her vehicle to a stop, she was struck in the rear by another vehicle at 6:47 p.m...
