Recount for County Council seat set for Wednesday

The recount to decide the third and final seat on the Greene County Council will be conducted starting Wednesday morning. The recount commission will meet at 9 a.m. in the Magistrate Courtroom, located on the first floor of the Greene County Courthouse. The recount sessions are open to the public. Linton man charged with trafficking contraband to county jail inmates

A Linton man who claimed to be a former corrections officer was arrested and booked in to the Greene County Jail on Wednesday.
