Crash leads to man being taken to jail

A Linton man was arrested for public intoxication after reportedly urinating in an alley and later being found in the driver's side of a wrecked vehicle with the keys on the floorboard. Jared P. UPDATED: Patterson's bond upped to $75,000

Chances are slim that Robert C. "Bobby" Patterson will be getting out of jail any time soon. His bond has been increased to $75,000 and it's expected that a warrant to revoke his parole will be filed within a few days. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy John Fowler escorted Patterson, wearing jail stripes and handcuffs, into Greene Superior Court at 1 p.m. on Friday for an initial hearing before Judge Dena Martin on the charge of failure to register as a violent offender, a class D felony. Patterson, now 62, is on the violent offenders list because of his conviction for the brutal murder of 15-year-old Kathy Sanford in Bloomfield over 29 years ago.
