Two truck drivers were transported to the hospital, a highway was closed for well over two hours, two trucks were extensively damaged and one driver was faulted and cited for speed following a two-truck rear-end wreck on State Road 67 south of Worthington on Monday morning. The two drivers, Craig Hudson, 42, and William Nickelson, 36, both from Jasonville, were taken to Greene County General Hospital by the Greene County Ambulance Service.

A Linton girl is challenging area businesses to help Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. Morgan Dale, 12, is urging local businesses to donate $50 to the upcoming Riley Miracle Ride -- which is set for May 29-31. Shaney Dale, Morgan's mom, explained, "It's for the Miracle Ride. She wants to challenge the businesses ... and in light of the situation in which the local boys (Nicholas Decker and Joshua Merritt) were burned ... a portion of the money goes directly to the (Riley) burn unit."...

Outsourcing tax bills will save money

Greene County Treasurer Shelby Meurer has found a way to get the tax bills out nearly three times faster than her office could do and save the county between $1,500 and $2,000 more than was paid last year to do the job themselves.
