Police and fire officials were shaking their heads in disbelief when they arrived at the Matt Padgett residence on State Road 54 East in Linton at about 2:55 p.m. on Monday. A 1994 Ford Taurus was driven by Stephen Buccola, 55, of 315 Wilson Street, Bloomfield, into the residence at a high rate of speed -- going completely through the family room and crashed through the outer wall -- leaving a pile of rubble.
