The Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce, the Linton Freedom Festival Taskforce and the Freedom Festival Hall of Fame Committee have announced Noble Stallons as the 2009 Linton Hall of Fame Award recipient. Stallons and his wife, Melba, moved to Greene County in 1982 when Noble took the position of manager at Utilities District of Western Indiana/REMC and retired in 2000...

NEWLY UPDATED: Highway open after wreck on State Road 45 in eastern Greene County

Greene County Sheriff's Lt. Bryan K. Woodall reported that traffic on State Road 45 in eastern Greene County was slow going at times on Wednesday afternoon due to a one-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck. The driver, Albert Clemens, 70, of Bloomington was not injured. The accident occurred around 12:40 p.m. at SR 45 and County Road 350N at the entrance to Timber Trace Addition in Center Township.

Wanted man picked up in Linton restaurant
