Mary C. Johnson, 93, of Linton, passed away at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Lyons Health & Living Center. Mary was born Jan. 7, 1916 in Owen County, the daughter of John and Captolia (Ross) Haferkamp. Mary was a seamstress at Crane during World War II and a member of the Linton United Methodist Church...

Vincent Tyrone Carter of Linton appeared in Greene Superior Court on Monday, pled guilty to the crimes of child solicitation and furnishing alcoholic beverages to minors and was sentenced to four and one-half years in prison.
