Margaret 'Marge' L. Miller, 73, of Midland, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2009, at Bloomington Hospital. Born in Linton on June 17, 1937, she was the daughter of Jessie L. and Violet M. (Myers) Miller. Marge worked at the Jasonville Cord Factory for 14 years...

A Biblical history class will soon be offered at Bloomfield Jr./Sr. High School. The approval of the non-standard course was given in a 7-0 vote during a special session of the Bloomfield School Board on Tuesday. After spending the last 16 years pacing up and down the sidelines in Glover Gymnasium, veteran boys basketball coach Ron McBride will have a different view at Bloomfield basketball games. McBride was named the new athletic director at BHS on Tuesday night by the Bloomfield board of trustees, and in turn the board accepted his resignation as varsity boys basketball coach and boys cross country coach. He previously served the same position during the 1992-93 school year...

Jeffery R. Adams allegedly once bragged to Preston Williams that he (Adams) had never lost a race. He also allegedly left a voice mail message for Williams in which Adams clucked like a chicken and said Williams was scared to race. Adams was the driver of the silver car rumored to have been racing with Williams on a highway in eastern Greene County on the day Williams' car crashed into an oncoming motorcycle. Two people lost their lives...
