Charles Hubert Norris, 71, of Bloomfield, left for his heavenly home on August 16, 2009. He was born on March 18, 1938 in Loogootee to Delbert and Mae (Holland) Norris. Charles was a U.S. Army veteran and was an employee of RCA/Thompson Consumer Electronics for more than 30 years. He treasured his relationships with God and friends through numerous churches in the area... -

William E. Whitehead, 87, of Crane, died Wednesday, Aug. 12 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Born March 16, 1922 in Gibson County, he was the son of William and Emma Bishop Whitehead. On March 14, 1951, he married Betty Herrin, who survives. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1962 after 20 years of service and retired in 1982 from NWSC Crane after 20 years.
