The White River Valley volleyball team dropped a 25-21, 25-16, 25-10 decision at Shoals Friday night. Tayler Kail led the Lady Wolverines with 21 digs and seven kills. Sydney Kail added nine digs and Jaycie Gouckenour had seven digs.

The Bloomfield at White River Valley boys tennis match was rained out Friday. No make-up date has been announced.

The Linton Girls Softball Assocition will have a public meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 1 at the East Shelter House...The purpose of the meeting is the election of officers and board for the upcoming year. Persons eligible to vote must have had a girl who played softball in our league this past summer...

DUGGER -- The Union (Dugger) football team was just 34 seconds away from their second consecutive 2-0 start, but Riverton Parke came into the Bulldogs home turf and stole the game away in heart-breaking fashion with a 21-20 thrilling win that featured just about everything.
