County employees will get an extra payday in 2010

Greene County employees will get an extra two weeks of pay in 2010, thanks to a rare way the payroll calendar works out. On Monday, the Greene County Council agreed to pay employees 27 times, instead of the normal 26 pay weeks. Robert V. Sullivan, O.D., 65, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 1, 2009, at his residence in Linton. He was born in Evansville on Feb. 22, 1944, the son of Robert E. & Mary L. (Wehr) Sullivan. Coming to Linton with his family in 1952, he was a 1962 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, in which he served as class president during his senior year. He was a 1966 graduate of Indiana University, where he earned two Bachelor degrees, and was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa, and a loyal academic and athletic supporter of Indiana University.
