Although the early morning hours were relatively quiet, things had picked up by late morning and by 1:45 p.m., dispatchers at the Greene County Sheriff's Department reported they had been busy. One accident was reported south of Linton and deputies had responded to several slide-off incidents across the county. No serious injuries had been reported. At 2 p.m., the Indiana State Department of Transportation (INDOT) was still reporting driving conditions on all state highways in Greene County as difficult with snow on the roadways.

Lillis Lynn Duffy, 83, of Jasonville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born on March 11, 1926 to Harold and Helen (Patton) Stoops. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith. Lillis was a United States Navy veteran, who worked as a nurse during the Korean War on one of the hospital ships.
