Road conditions; closings; sectional update

Linton-Stockton Athletic Director Charlie Karazsia said a decision on tonight's Class 2A South Knox girls basketball sectional game between the Lady Miners and South Knox will be made around noon. -- Indiana State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil reports current road conditions within the Bloomington District, which includes Monroe, Greene, Brown, Lawrence and Owen counties are as follows: * SR 37 -- both lanes are snow covered with some pavement visible. * U.S. highways are snow covered with very little pavement visible. * Secondary roads (county roads) are covered with approximately 2 inches of snow. Lyons Town Council approves home demolition

The Lyons Town Council could soon be bringing down the house. Specifically, they've awarded a $2,500 bid to Lyons Fire Chief Teddy York to take down a home at 225 N. Walnut which has fallen into disarray. The second winter storm in less than a week came through Greene County late Monday night, forcing the closure of all five local school districts on Tuesday and sending area road crews into action.
