Sawyer Sparks is a home-grown, young entrepreneur who's not bashful to admit his roots run deep in Greene County. Thursday morning, Sparks, a 23-year-old fourth-year Purdue University student, put his business talents and money where his mouth is and broke ground for what he calls the world headquarters of "Soy-Yer-Dough" -- a soybean based gluten-free modeling clay. The product that Sparks patented for youngsters nearly two years ago now is an increasing seller in schools, daycare centers, to children with allergies to wheat products and individuals afflicted with autism.
