Miners upend South Knox for sectional title

They might not have been the clear cut favorite in the Class 2A Sectional played at Roy Herndon Field this week, but in the end the Linton-Stockton Miners claimed their third sectional title under soon-to-retire head coach Bart Berns with an 8-5 win over South Knox Wednesday night. The win marked their first sectional crown since the 2000-01 season and the fourth in the history of the school.
