Wilbur O. Cox, 86, of Springville, passed away at 3:55 P.M. Friday at the Garden Ville in Bedford. Wilbur was born February 1, 1924 in Solsberry, the son of Lennie and Lillie (Linthicum) Cox. He retired from HMI U.S. Navy for after 13 years, he was a farmer and worked for Hoosier Upland (Meals on wheels). Driver not injured after illness caused blackout behind the wheel

A 40-year-old Bruceville man wound up in a Switz City ditch when he became ill and blacked-out behind the wheel late Friday night. James M. Moreland was not injured in the mishap and was able to drive his vehicle away from the scene. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy J. No injuries after deer jump into path of two vehicles

At least a couple of vehicles have been damaged in the past few days when deer jumped into the road. Two incidents were reported to the Greene County Sheriff's Department Friday and Saturday. Deputy J. Aaron Smith said in both cases, there were no injuries and the vehicles were able to be driven away from the encounters...
