Stanley Richard (Dick) Vaughn, 75, of Bloomfield, passed away at 12:58 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1935 in Indianapolis to Norman and Evelyn (Smith) Vaughn. He worked for the Monon Railroad through five mergers and retired from CSX in 1997 after 44 years of service. He joined the first National Guard unit in Linton on May 4, 1953 and served eight years. He was a member of the Worthington Masonic Lodge 577 and the Zorah Shrine in Indianapolis... -

Eric K. Rose, 36, of Linton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 at his residence. He was born on May 28, 1974 in Linton to Julian R. and Fern R. (Donahue) Rose. On April 14, 2001 he married Shannon M. Neal. Eric worked as a laborer with Asplundh Tree Experts. Survivors include his wife, Shannon Rose of Linton; his three children, Maranda, Austin and Jilian, at home; five sisters, Vickey (Chester K.) Edmonson and Patty Caddell, both of Linton, Debra Rose and Rita (Steve) White, both of Lyons, and Gale (Lyle) Fisher of Sparta, Wis.; one brother, Danny (Rebecca L.) Rose of Linton. Eric was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Raymond Rose on March 14, 2002. Visitation hour will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
