Woman attacked outside Linton bank Wednesday night

Police are investigating an attack on a woman outside a Linton bank Wednesday night by a man who tried to take a night deposit bag from her. She fought back and he left without the bag. The victim was Betty Ann Heck, 53 from Jasonville. She was taking a money bag containing the night's deposit from a business to Regions Bank located at 89 W. Vincennes St. in downtown Linton at approximately 9:15 p.m. According to a police report, when Heck exited her vehicle and was opening the night deposit box, a white male wearing blue jeans and a black western-style shirt attempted to take the money bag away from her.
