Alma Williams, 98, of Washington, Ind., passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 at the Daviess Community Hospital in Washington. She was born on Oct. 3, 1912, in Plainville to Alonzo C. and Lois Margaret (Lawyer) McBride. She married Russell C. Williams on Sept. 25, 1929...

Katherine Cowden, 95, formerly of Lewis, went to be with the Lord at 5:36 pm on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at Miller's Merry Manor in Sullivan after a long illness. Born August 16, 1915 in Prairie Creek, she was the daughter of Samuel R. and Clementine (Stranahan) Burnam. On July 28, 1938 she married Wayne e. Cowden, who passed away October 8, 1887 after 59 years of marriage...

With recent reports of theft from parked vehicles in the city of Linton, advice from local law enforcement is to lock your vehicle. A complaint at the Ideal Market on West Main Street in Princeton, Ky., on Sunday morning led to the arrest of a Linton woman on methamphetamine-related charges. Amy Anna Feutz, 92, of Bloomfield, passed away Oct. 8, 2010 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. Born April 15, 1918 in Greene County, she was the daughter of John B. and Daisy (Groomer) Flake. She worked for Bloomfield Schools as a bus driver and a cook. She was also employed at RCA and was a clerk at the Mineral General store and a homemaker. She was a member of the Mineral United Methodist Church...

Four teens were injured in a one-vehicle accident on Terre Haute Road west of Worthington at 3:20 p.m. Friday.
