Two men wanted on warrants were arrested this week

Warrants were issued last week for the arrest of two men, one accused of possessing methamphetamine, the other of marijuana plus a handgun without a license and a sawed-off shotgun, both fully loaded. Woman accused of dumping kitty in mailbox gets suspended sentence

Breanna Kay Russell was sentenced in Greene Superior Court Wednesday to one year in the Greene County Jail with all suspended. She'll spend that year on probation. Russell is the Linton woman who was reportedly trying to give a kitten away at WalMart last June but when the effort was unsuccessful, she allegedly got rid of the kitty by dropping it inside a U.S. mailbox...
