Betty Blackwood (Coen) Bowman, 95, of Linton, and spent her winters in Estero, Fla., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. Born in Greene County, on Jan. 11, 1916, she was the daughter of John Hunter and Foreste (Shake) Blackwood. She married her first husband, Dihone Coen on June 8, 1938, who passed away on Oct. 24, 1962 and later married William Bowman on April 29, 1972. Betty was a school teacher in the Marco School and also worked at Coen's Grocery in Linton. She was a member of Linton United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Columbian 140, Greene County Shrine Club (Zorah Temple) and American Legion Auxillary, Linton Post #22.
