Ernest Elwood "Woody" Wilkin, 83, passed away at 2 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at the Lyons Health and Living Center. He was born May 7, 1927 to Clarence and Lola (Paul) Wilkin in Daviess County, and he married Donna Palmer on Sept. 14, 1953. He was a cheese maker at Graham Cheese Company for 35 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Odon VFW and Elnora American Legion, and was a charter member of the White River Valley Antique Association...

Suspect named in weekend bar incident; accused of breaking glass out of door

One man may be facing criminal charges for allegedly breaking a glass out of a door window at the Palace Bar over the weekend. A 29-year-old Worthington man, Ryan R. Lewis, has been named as a suspect. According to a police report, Lewis had been barred from the bar but entered the bar late one evening and asked about it. He was informed by an employee that he was in fact barred and he then proceeded to leave out the back door...

With preliminary school budget information available, Linton-Stockton School Superintendent Nick Karazsia spoke candidly on what the future may hold for the L-S School Corporation.
