LITTLE CINCINNATI -- Eastern Greene's backcourt duo of Tyler Igel (16) and JT Yoho (15) countered a game-high 31 points from Linton-Stockton's Dess Fougerousse as the Thunderbirds held off the Miners 65-56 in the opening game of the Class 2A Sectional 45 here Tuesday night. "They're much improved, they came in and battled," Eastern Greene (20-2) coach Andy Igel said. "You've got to tip your hat to Fougerousse, he played incredibly well. "You just got to say 'hey nice job' and move on." Fougerousse finished the game connecting on 14 of 21 shots from the field and 4 of 6 attempts from the charity stripe.
