Nelda June Hasler, 84 of Linton, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Saturday morning, Feb. 25, 2012, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL. She was born in Worthington on Sept. 30, 1927, the daughter of Dayle and Mary O. (Cade) Newsom.

There was a ceremonial changing of the guard Saturday morning in Linton. The command of the Linton-based Indiana National Guard Company A, 1-151st Combat Team -- The Avengers -- was changed as the unit is again preparing for a deployment into a war zone for the third time since 2003.
