Linton taking care of annual street maintenance

Maintenance work began Wednesday at the corner of SE A St. and South Main St. in Linton by Dave O'Mara Contracting Inc., of North Vernon. The blacktop was replaced in order to update the road for better water drainage. Woman hurt in Wednesday wreck released from hospital, son listed in fair condition

A Worthington woman, who was injured in a single-car accident and taken by medical helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital Wednesday evening, has been released. Rheannon Peck, 27, was discharged from the emergency room at IU Health Methodist Hospital at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday, according to Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Rick Marques and a hospital official.

Open House set for Wednesday to explain 4-H, Extension Homemaker programs at the fairgrounds

Greene County's largest youth organization -- 4-H -- along with the Extension Homemakers Clubs will be showcased in an upcoming open house event Wednesday evening. Purdue Extension Greene County, along with the 4-H Council and the Greene County PCARET, will host a Fall Open House at the Greene County Fairgrounds from 6-8:30 p.m. The fairgrounds is located on State Road 54, about one mile east of Switz City.
