James Elmo Smith, 82, of Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, Nov.18, 2012, at Hospice Care in Ellettsville, IN. He was born on Feb. 2,1930 to John and Susan (Stalcup) Smith, in their home north of Bloomfield. James was a veteran of the Korean War, honorably discharged from the 38th Infantry with the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. ...

Local group joins Southern Baptist Disaster Relief effort in New Jersey
