Two injured in Saturday morning wreck near Lyons

A single-car wreck early Saturday morning near Lyons sent two people to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment. Austin Hollifield, 21, of Jasonville was traveling north on County Road 800W near the intersection with County Road 200S when he lost control of his 1996 Ford Mustang and traveled through a ditch and struck a tree, according to a report from Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Bobby Pierce.

Man accused of biting a Jasonville police officer

A 44-year-old Jasonville man, accused of biting a law enforcement officer, was in court last week, charged with a felony battery count.
