Body of unidentified female found in Owen County

On Wednesday, June 19, the Owen County Sheriff's Department was notified of a deceased person in the White River near Freedom. Officers arrived at the location and met with the individuals who discovered the body. The body of an unidentified female was recovered from the river. Aerobics program raises funds for the A.M. Risher Pool

Motorcycle accident involving deer causes injuries

A motorcycle passenger was treated Wednesday night for injuries sustained in a crash caused by hitting a deer. Cody A. Miller, 28, of Bicknell, was traveling south on State Road 59 on a motorcycle when a deer crossed into the roadway near the intersection with County Road 525S. Development plan will bring hotel, restaurant and more to area near WestGate

The Greene County Redevelopment Commission reviewed updates to the Progress Pointe development plan that will bring a hotel, restaurant and service station to an area close to Interstate 69 and the U.S. 231 junction. County teachers prepare plan to continue progress
