A Bloomfield man was arrested early Saturday morning and preliminarily charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a single-vehicle wreck on Calvertville Road. Updated at 7:42 p.m. -- The road construction on State Road 67 is complete and the roadway is not open, according to the Greene County Sheriff's Department. --- The Indiana Department of Transportation announced a closure on State Road 67 due to a broken rail in a railroad crossing. State Road 67 will be closed between State Road 54 at Switz City and State Road 59 in Sandborn. The crossing is approximately 1/10th of a mile south of State Road 54. Railroad crews are on site now making emergency repairs. It is anticipated the road will reopen to traffic by 8 p.m. this evening...

Randal Crosley, one of two men awaiting trial for the murder of Katelyn Wolfe, is under investigation by Detective Brian Nugent of the Avon Police Department for possible involvement in a bank robbery. Nugent was on the scene of a branch of the Chase Bank located on US Highway 36 in Avon after police were called on May 3, 2012 shortly after the robbery took place. He's continued to investigate but didn't get a break in the case until Oct. 1 of this year...
