Pleasantville couple indicted on federal charges admits guilt; will step down from Jefferson Township Trustee positions by Friday

A Pleasantville couple, Frank Mejean, 51, and his wife Antonnette Mejean, 48, serving as Sullivan County's Jefferson Township Trustee and Clerk, were arrested and indicted on federal charges in late April. Last week both agreed to accept guilt for three counts of felony wire fraud, according to negotiated plea agreements that were filed in federal court. They also agreed to repay over $60,000 to the township and Frank Mejean must fire his wife and resign from his post by Friday...
