Convicted sex offender discovered living in Linton, arrested, accused of failure to register

A convicted sex offender who moved into Linton, but allegedly failed to register with the Greene County Sexual and Violent Offender's Registrar, was taken into custody and booked in to the Greene County Jail around 5:30 p.m. Friday. Christopher Leroy Shonk, 35, of Linton, formerly of Sandborn, was convicted on June 14, 2010 in Knox County of child solicitation, a class D felony, and was sentenced to three years, but has since been released...
