June 11 -- Steven Earl Strange, 39, Bloomfield, was arrested on warrants issued on a preliminary charge of forgery in one case and theft in another case. His bond was set at at $28,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Shawn Cullison was the arresting officer...

The LPD responded to 11 calls and incidents on Wednesday, June 11, including one alarm, one transport, three complaints about animals, two thefts, one assist to another agency, one welfare check, one fight in progress and one extra patrol.

The Greene County Sheriff's Department investigated a Tuesday night single-vehicle crash on State Road 43, just north of Yoho Road. Benjamin Burgoon, 17, of Springville, was driving a 2001 Cadillac Coupe Deville, north on State Road 43 when due to speed and a wet roadway, he lost control of his vehicle. The car ran into a creek bed before coming to rest against a tree, according to a report filed by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeffrey Brown...
