Eastern Greene to refinance bond issue to provide over $1 million in additional revenue

The Eastern Greene Board of School Trustees passed a series of resolutions Monday night to proceed with the re-financing of the 2006 bond issue that was used to construct the new high school. The re-financing, due to improved market conditions, is expected to produce an estimated $1.1 to $1.3 million in additional revenue, while extending the year of the bonds final year of repayment from 2029 to 2034, according to school board attorney Thomas Bunger, of Bloomington...

Lynn Hobbs retires from WRV after 31 years of teaching

Another White River Valley veteran teacher is retiring this year. Lynn Hobbs, who taught speech therapy, is retiring after 31 years of teaching. Born and raised in the Jasonville area, Hobbs is a Shakamak High School graduate. Her degree from Indiana State University was in elementary education with an endorsement in speech pathology.....
