Weekend Motocross to honor fallen racer

The Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Austin Mincey Memorial Moto Cross at the Linton Conservation Club this Sunday. Mincey was a Liberty, Ky. high school freshman who lost his life during a race earlier this spring. A 50/50 raffle and silent auction will also be ongoing throughout the day with all proceeds going to the Mincey family...

Larry Joe Blaker, 59, of Coal City, Indiana passed away Friday June 20, 2014 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Born August 2, 1954 in Linton, Indiana, the son of Merl and Lorene (Hill) Blaker. Larry worked for Arvins Auto in Franklin for 32 years. Surviving relatives include his wife Connie Blaker of Coal City, his two sons, Jeremy Blaker of Greenwood, Jason Blaker of Franklin, two step-sons, William Akers of Greencastle, Richard Arnold of Coal City, one step-daughter, Audrey "Gayle" Clark of Bargersville, three sisters, Karen Luttrell of North Vernon, Janet Callon of Edinburg, Marcia Hudson of Franklin, one brother, Dean Blaker of Franklin and nine grandchildren.. ...
