Saturday, July 5 The City of Linton's trash pick-up schedule will change slightly due to the holiday. Trash that is regularly picked up on Friday will instead be picked up on Saturday. A date when Linton's new recycling center will open will be announced withizzan the next month. The Waltons watch parade from their front porch, and celebrate the Fourth with annual reunion

Suette Walton was born and raised right in Linton and has joined in on the Fourth of July festivities her entire life. One of her favorite local Independence Day celebrations is the Linton Freedom Festival Parade. Her family has a great view of the parade from her front porch every year, which is also the same front porch that she grew up watching the parade on.....

Nancy L. Stahl, age 86, of Worthington, passed away at 12:22 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born in Linton on June 8, 1928, the daughter of James and Zetta Hester (Foulk) Openshaw. She graduated from Worthington High School at age 16 and began working for Griffin Industry in Worthington. ...
