Ralph E. VanMeter, 99, of Bloomfield passed away Saturday December 27, 2014 at Glenburn Home in Linton. Born February 18, 1915 in Jasonville, Indiana the son of Grover and Ollie (Howard) VanMeter. Ralph was an Army Air Force veteran of WWII, Life member of the Bloomfield American Legion where he was past commander from 1952 to 1953, a life member of the Worthington VFW, 60 plus year member of the Solsberry Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star, he belonged to the 315th Bomb Wing association and a member of the Bloomfield First Christian Church. ...

Randy V. Firestone, age 58, of Worthington, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Redbud, Ill. on September 15, 1956, the son of Charlie and Shirley (LaTempt) Firestone. Randy was a 1974 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. He retired from Duke Energy in 2013.
