* August 12 -- James Alfred Pedigo, Harrisburg, Ill., 51, was arrested on preliminary charges involving operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was being held without bond. Indiana State Police Trooper John Yung was the arresting officer.

Marjorie May Hyslop, 100, of San Jose, California, passed away peacefully in her sleep in Fairfield, California on May 23, 2015. She was born on December 12, 1915 in Linton, Indiana to Marvin and Leva (West) Johnson. She was raised on their farm, and attended the University of Indiana, Terre Haute. Marjorie moved to Mobile, Alabama where she met her future husband, William A. (Art) Hyslop, a dashing young commercial pilot who soon joined the Army Air Corp. They were married in March 1942...
