Opinion issued by Public Access Counselor in regards to WRV violation of Open Door Law

After a month of investigation, an opinion was issued by Public Access Counselor Luke Britt in regards to the White River Valley School District violation of the Access to Public Records Act and the Open Door Law. The conclusion of the advisory opinion written by Britt states: "Based on the foregoing, it is the opinion (that) the White River Valley School District has violated the Open Door Law by not keeping memoranda of its executive sessions; however, the District has conceded this point and has taken steps to fix this issue going forward.". ...

Two organizations are coming together to put a new twist on the Long Fish Dash at Shakamak State Park scheduled for April 23. The Friends of Shakamak and Roots Running Club are coordinating so the annual event can benefit even more people.
