She was born on November 10, 1929, in Sullivan County, the daughter of Lloyd Hendricks and Agatha Oberene McQuown Whitlock. She was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church, the Dugger Home Economic Club, and the Quilt Club. The Friends of the Library (FOL) of the Eastern Branch of the Bloomfield Public Library will be hosting its annual meeting Monday, May 2 at 6 p.m. Mary Devault of the FOL encouraged the public to join the organization.
