Tornado warning issued for area (Local News ~ 08/24/16)
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for Northeastern Greene County in Southwestern Indiana and Southern Owen County until 5:15 p.m. According to the warning, at 4:40 p.m. a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 10 miles southwest of Spencer, 20 miles west of Bloomington, moving east at 25 mph. Ann Maddock Gloye was born on April 25, 1933 in Linton and passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23 at Hearthstone Health Campus. Ann is the daughter of Paul Maddock and Edith Hendren Maddock.
