North Central broke a deadlock at halftime Saturday afternoon to edge visiting White River Valley 60-54. The LadyBirds (11-7, 4-2 in Southwest Indiana Athletic Conference play) broke a 25-25 halftime tie by outscoring WRV (5-13, 2-3) 17-12 in the third quarter to take a 42-37 lead. Charles "Chuck" David Lynch, age 76, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 12:45 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Linton, on Feb. 27, 1941, the son of the late William Clifford Lynch and Eva Mae (Blough) Lynch. Charles was a graduate of Linton High School in 1959. He was a man of many skills but most proud of his time as a master mechanic at Peabody Coal. He was a dedicated family man and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids...
