BLOOMFIELD -- Mitchell snapped a 3-3 deadlock with five runs in the fifth Wednesday night and handed Bloomfield a 9-3 loss in the Cardinals’ season opener. Ten Bluejacket batters stepped to the plate in the fifth inning as the visitors cranked out five runs, Briston Bundy delivering the biggest shot with a two-run single.
