The White River Valley Board of School Trustees, in a public meeting held Thursday evening, gave an update on several summer projects and announced student registration dates for the 2018-19 school year. The coaching carousel continues to turn. And a Bloomfield native son will be migrating some 30 miles east on U.S. 50 from Vincennes to Montgomery. Josh Thompson is set to become the next head basketball coach of the Barr-Reeve Vikings. Thompson spent the last two seasons at Vincennes Lincoln and will replace long-time coach Bryan Hughes, who announced his retirement earlier this month. The Barr-Reeve school board called a special session Friday afternoon where Thompson’s hiring was officially approved. -
