UPDATED: Linton man arrested for attempted murder

A Linton man has been arrested following an altercation that took place at a residence in Linton early Sunday morning. Elijah David Scott Gwyn, 21, faces preliminary charges of attempted murder. Indiana State Police Detectives received a request for assistance from the Linton Police Department around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5. LPD had been gathering information since 4 a.m. As of 11 a.m. Sunday morning, a section of G Street in Linton has been taped off in respect to an ongoing investigation. According to Linton Police Department Chief Troy Jerrell, an altercation had taken place between to individuals.
