County plans to sell formerly-blighted properties

The Greene County Commissioners are looking into getting the properties from the Blight Elimination Program back onto the tax rolls. Commissioner Rick Graves said of the 27 properties cleaned up under the scope of the project, five have been sold back to the original property owners. He asked Attorney Marilyn Hartman about putting signs in the yard for the remaining 22 properties in Linton, Jasonville and Lyons...

Coaches to vote on ending Southwest Indiana Conference

This Friday’s game between visiting Eastern-Greene and North Central may be the last championship game for the Southwest Indiana Conference. Eastern coach Travis Wray said Tuesday afternoon that the conference’s coaches will formally vote Wednesday on whether to continue Southwest Indiana.
