Linton-Stockton advanced to the final round of its own tournament but came up short in its quest for the championship. The Linton-Stockton Miners held off a late charge from the Paoli Rams in the opener but had no answer for the red-hot Bedford North Lawrence Stars in the final, falling to the Stars 68-47 in the championship game of the season-opening Linton-Stockton Tournament Saturday. -
Bulldogs fall by two at Columbus Christian

The visiting Bulldogs almost nipped the Crusaders Friday night, but Columbus Christian edged Union 68-66. Union coach Greg Kinnaman said the ‘Dogs started slow in their season opener, but came back to give Columbus Christian (1-1) a dogged fight. “We came out flat, which is what I was afraid would happen,” Kinnaman said. “We got down 10 at one point early in the second quarter, but fought back and had the lead at the break.”...
