Bloomfield Chamber: Farmer’s Market won’t return this year but there’s another option

The Bloomfield Farmers Market Steering Committee has given notice to the Bloomfield Chamber the market will no longer operate. For the last several years, the May-to-September Farmers Market has tried various tactics to remain in business, including changing the day the market was held from Friday to Tuesday, adjusting the hours of operation to accommodate shoppers, teaming up with WIC, the Area 13 Council on Aging and the Greene County Division of Family Resources to accept WIC and SNAP payments and changing the location, but it appears none of the changes has been enough to keep the Farmers Market afloat.. ...

On Friday, Feb. 8, Linton Police Chief Troy Jerrell issued a statement in which he said Greene County missing teen Chaise Smith has been found and is currently in custody.
