Miners edge Cougars for conference lead (High School Sports ~ 05/10/19)
ELNORA – The battle for first place in the Southwestern Indiana Athletic Conference baseball standings between the Linton Miners and the North Daviess Cougars was indeed a battle. Kaleb Crane’s two-run double in the top of the third inning gave Linton a 2-1 lead it would not relinquish. The visiting Miners held off the Cougars the rest of the way in Friday night’s conference clash at Wayne Davis Field and remained undefeated in SWIAC play.
