July 4 marked the one-year anniversary of the passing of Eva Kor, 85, of Terre Haute, who passed away during her last annual trip to Kraków, Poland. During World War II, Kor and her twin sister Miriam Mozes were subjected to experimentation at the hands of Nazi Doctor Josef Mengele at Auschwitz, Poland, until the camp was liberated by The Soviet Army on Jan. 27, 1945.
