According to Greene County Clerk Stewart Dowden, there’s been confusion over a mass mailing that appears to originate from Indianapolis. Dowden says the deceptive mailing looks very official, appears to be an absentee ballot, and is worded to the effect of “Indiana absentee ballot enclosed.”...

Park project making progress

The Linton City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Sept. 14 at 6 p.m at City Hall. During the meeting, the council passed a motion for the city council to become the physical decision-making body for the Linton library. Mervis Recycling paid a visit to Linton-Stockton High School on Friday. During the visit, Tom Haley, general manager of the company, and Codi Vandivier, account executive, presented Mr. Brannon’s welding class with six new welding helmets. A great season for the Bloomfield boys cross country team got even better Saturday with a first place finish at the Washington Invite. Two charged with dealing methamphetamine in Greene County

On Sept. 7, Brittany Goodman, 33, and Robert Holt , 27, were arrested on a Level 2 Felony charge of dealing methamphetamine.
